If you want a bigger tease for what to expect in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, the upcoming expansion to the critically acclaimed MMORPG, you got one through the newly revealed PC benchmark sequence–it’s a bit of an unlikely place. During the latest Live Letter from the Producer, Square Enix showed off the benchmark which contains snippets from new zones and battles from Endwalker and have some story implications for the expansion. The benchmark is now available for PC users to download. You can also watch it in the video below as you prepare for the expansion to release in just a few months.

The benchmark sequence shows battles between tempered beasts and Garlean Empire soldiers on a snowy field with the Warrior of Light intervening. It then takes you through the new major hub area of Old Sharlayan with Alphinaud wondering about before meeting with the Warrior of Light. Things kick up with a major battle in the ruins of Garlemald between many tempered beasts and an alliance of familiar faces like the main characters from Scions of the Seventh Dawn and the leaders of FFXIV’s various regions. You then get a taste of the new, colorful open zones of Thavnair as various flying mounts head towards one of those ominous towers that appeared in the patch 5.5 story quests. The benchmark concludes with a major battle against longtime villain Zenos yae Galvus with Alphinaud and Alisaie by the Warrior of Light’s side, which also shows off some skills from the new Reaper and Sage jobs.

Hogwarts Legacy – How To Use Photo Mode

One of the most highly-requested features from the community since the launch of Hogwarts Legacy has been a Photo Mode. The ability to capture unique images of characters, locations, or scenes is an invaluable part of the open-world experience in gaming. While many fans thought the idea of a Photo Mode in Hogwarts Legacy was dead, the recent summer update changed that.

The summer update introduced a flurry of content into the game, including the long-awaited Photo Mode. You can now take professional screenshots in-game and share them with the world, but you’ll first have to understand how to access and use Photo Mode.

Accessing Photo Mode in Hogwarts Legacy

Before you can start taking pictures, there’s one requirement you need to meet. Photo Mode is only available after you complete the main mission where you unlock the Field Guide. Once that mission is complete, which occurs within the first hour or so of Hogwarts Legacy, you can start using Photo Mode.

Joker 2 Gets R Rating, Features Brief Full Nudity

Like the 2019 film, this October’s Joker: Folie a Deux will be rated R. The Motion Picture Association has listed a rating for the highly anticipated sequel and also gave some clues about why it received that rating.

Joker: Folie a Deux will have “some strong violence, language throughout, some sexuality, and brief full nudity,” the ratings board said, as reported by Variety.

For comparison, the earlier film was rated R for “strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, language, and brief sexual images.”

Folie a Deux, which means a “delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association,” stars Joaquin Phoenix as Joker, with Lady Gaga joining the cast as Harley Quinn. Phoenix won the Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of Arthur Fleck/Joker in the first movie.

Zazie Beetz also returns from the 2019 movie, with Oscar-nominated actors Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener joining the cast.

Japan Just Made History By Landing On The Moon But There Is Some Bad News Too

Japan has become only the fifth country in the history of the world to land on the Moon, but it wasn’t all good news, as the lander might have run out of power.

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced that its Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) successfully touched down on the moon’s surface on January 20. The space agency was able to establish communication with the craft when it landed. However, JAXA said the solar cells on the craft are “not generating power.”

In another statement, JAXA said the SLIM’s battery only had 12% remaining when it touched down. It was disconnected to avoid being unable to restart as the space agency hopes for favorable sunlight conditions to power it up. SLIM’s solar cells are facing west, which gives the craft a chance of catching some rays.

“Until power was switched off after landing, the technical and image data acquired during the landing descent and on the lunar surface were successfully transmitted,” JAXA …

2021 GOTY Contender Deathloop Is A PS5 Game From An Xbox-Owned Studio, And That's Weird

Dishonored developer Arkane’s new game, Deathloop, is out tomorrow and it’s getting great reviews (it received a rare 10/10 in GameSpot’s review), with many saying it’s a legitimate contender for overall Game of the Year. Its release is notable not only for its gameplay qualities and mastery of what it’s setting out to do, but also for what is going on behind the scenes. Arkane is now owned by Microsoft as part of the Xbox company’s $7.5 billion buyout of Bethesda/Zenimax.

Microsoft is honoring previously set publishing contracts, so Deathloop will be aPlayStation 5 console exclusive until at least September 2022 because Bethesda and Sony had a deal before Xbox swooped in. This makes for a strange situation, even if it’s not completely unexpected–and it’s not necessarily all bad news for Microsoft and Xbox.
